Our classes encourage French language development in young children through songs, play and FUN! Even though your child may think we are just playing, they are actually learning quite a bit of French vocabulary and grammar! Children also have fun learning about French culture such as how children greet each other in France, what the Eiffel Tower looks like and how French children celebrate various holidays throughout the year! Here is what you can expect your child to learn in our Fun language classes: Fall Semester: September - December Topics covered are: Greetings, How are you?, Class rules and commands, Emotions, Colors, Numbers, Body parts, Halloween vocabulary, Weather, Seasons, Thanksgiving vocabulary, Food, Likes / dislikes, Holiday Vocabulary Spring Semester: January - May Topics covered are: Calendar, Clothes, Family, Animals, House, Food, Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Daily activities and routines Sports and leisure activities, Likes and dislikes, Basic verbs, Transportation and community, St Patrick's Day, Poisson D'avril (April fools), Earth day activities, Mothers day *You can enroll your child at any time! Since repetition is vital to language learning, we spend about half the class reviewing previously taught topics. |
