| Mommy and Me Classes |

| Our mommy and Me classes are designed for toddlers ages 2-4 where the parents join their children in the foreign language circle time! Parents are encouraged to participate in the classes (singing along with the music, repeating the vocabulary) since children this age mimic what mom and dad are doing! Since the entire class is conducted predominately in the target language, parents are asked not to translate or explain the meanings of words or phrases to their children. Children this age have a unique ability to learn and comprehend new language without having to translate into their native tongue. Research shows that it is never too young to introduce your child to a new language! Even if your 2 year old is not producing much English, their listening skills will only be strengthened by hearing a new language. Reproducing new sounds is also easier at this age since the soft palettes is still being formed. When is the best age to introduce a foreign language to children? |
